Well, if you think about it, would you lug however many tons of metal from wherever to Earth, or spend a lot of time and money creating places you could smelt and smith huge amounts of metal from different deposits or whatever when you could just use the stone and dirt that's already there and that you can make shit out of much easier?

Stone structures require a lot less infrastructure. Just a lot of people.

But I don't get what that has to with the sinkhole. The sinkhole: that's probably what we should be worried about. You know, the second sinkhole. As in, this could be the beginning of a pattern.

That's the thing about it. In my personal opinion?... That the second sinkhole hit the museum has got to be a coincidence. There's nothing in a museum that someone couldn't go to a hell of a lot less trouble to steal or destroy in a more normal way.

If you want a serious answer - it just has to be someone that can move massive amounts of dirt in one go. That's some scary amount of power, whether it's from technology or not.

Irrelevant. Organics have previously attempted genocide upon our people. This does not make them responsible for all criminal activity. To assign blame to synthetic life because of past experience with a single group is irrational.

man how could it be anything BUT aliens i mean a phenomenon that's impossible according to human science resulted in an entire museum of ancient "alien" artifacts being stolen and so far as I can tell it isn't magical either! aliens are pretty much the only explanation that have any narrative backing at all seriously.

that's my theory anyway in terms of actual evidence i will have to get back to you on that. :D

I just think it's too convenient. Not to mention that if the sinkhole's purpose really was to take out a single exhibit, there's all sorts of ways they could have done it without a huge display of power. This was the equivalent of using a gun to kill a fly.

Evidence always trumps speculation. I'd sure be interested in hearing about it, if there's anything to be found.

i would't underestimate the value of an over the top display of power. some people operate under the hope that if they do something big a couple times it will mean everyone is too afraid to force them to do the little things.

Well, sure, but if part of the goal was to scare us... then why has no one stepped up to claim responsibility for it yet? As it is now, a hole out in a desert and a hole destroying part of a museum isn't going to inspire much fear in the general populace.

Except for any superheroes that might develop an aversion to big holes in the ground, I guess. Makes me wonder how you people sleep at night.
