I've been following some suspicious activity in the area recently that I have determined to be linked to one of the criminal organizations operating here in the city. I've been unable to confirm the identity of this group, but based the their movements and patterns I have reason to suspect it may be a TRIDENT group. The location bears many similarities to the TRIDENT base discovered during the Trailblazer's recent rescue mission. There has been a noticeable increase is activity at the site recently, and I believe uncovering whatever their plot is would be in everyone's best interest.

At this time I do not have enough evidence for CONDOR to approve an official operation. I'm looking for any volunteers to form a small team and assist with a recon mission, gather as much information as possible before they act. Stealth and speed are key, it is imperative that we get in and out as swiftly as possible. As mentioned previously, this group may be TRIDENT, so please only step forward if you are sure you can get yourself out on your own if the mission takes a wrong turn.

My first hypothesis was correct: the samples are, in fact, alive. See attached images. The sample that I infused with life force is labeled 01; note the size differential. It unfolded approximately two minutes before the other samples. All specimens seem uninterested in food or water thus far; I'll let you know if that status changes or if they begin to decline in health.

How many specimens were left at the bottom of the sinkhole, approximately? I think finding out what became of them would be worthwhile. (I suspect that this issue has also been resolved, for that matter.) I'd like to see what's down there; any assistance you could give on that theme would be welcome.

I've completed the experiments I proposed. Each sample radiates between 45 and 56 nanothaums; existent, but not enough for anything useful. (To compare: one drop of infused blood has more power than one of these samples.) As far as I can ascertain, the samples are not the byproduct of a bigger spell, nor are they harmful. Resonance is between the green and yellow range; I'd call it 'dark chartreuse' if I felt like being pretentious. I can't pin it down to a specific wavelength with my equipment.

Most notably, they have a very weak life force. That's not necessarily to say that they're alive; any one of my constructs has more life force than all the samples put together. Nonetheless, it's an interesting data point. Further angles of research on that are pending.
