hey could anyone here put me in touch with like a lawyer? not a superhero lawyer but some other kind of lawyer? housing or family maybe, I googled this but I don't really know a ton about this stuff. anyway, let me know? even like legal advice would be okay. it's for a friend of mine.

is your friend loosing custody of their kids and a squatter? because if so, that's really not as complicated a situation as you might think.

hhhaha. ha ha. no. my friend is coming up a little short on rent money and his landlord is breathing down his neck, but there's also this whole thing where his parents are kind of AWOL and it's a really really long story, actually, but the bottom line is that he needs some legal advice.

is there a reason he doesn't report his missing parents to the police and go into government custody?

look everyone knows the system is really broken. my friend doesn't want to live in a group home until he turns 18.

I know there's some sort of lawyer guy who hangs around here. He's bound to show up at some point. Don't know what he specializes in.

Is this kid a Trailblazer? Or registered? If so, tell them they should call CONDOR. That's what we're here for, to deal with shit like this.

One of the big reasons we keep such a close eye on younger heroes is because sometimes they need protection from more than just supervillians. Or they need help fighting something besides magical bullshit. Nobody fucks with teen superheroes but us and criminals.

I might not have the contacts that your friend would need since I have no fucking clue how anything like that works, but CONDOR's got their sticky paws all over everything. They're government too, after all, and the administrative teams that work with the Trailblazers have to work pretty closely with child services sometimes.

But like I said, that lawyer guy's probably around here somewhere. CONDOR's not the only option, but it's a big scary intimidating one.

If they're in trouble, at some point they're going to have to decide to trust someone. I'm not going to lie to you and say that might not backfire, though.

I can't promise I'm that much more trustworthy, but if your friend really runs out of options and ends up having to turn to CONDOR, I'm always up to forgetting the rules if I don't much like them.

I'd say don't tell anyone I said that, but I think it's a known quantity at this point.

um, he kind of messed up and now his landlord is really mad at him, haha. i told him i'd help out however i can. friends don't let friends get evicted or whatever, right?

oh i mean he'll totally crash with me if he gets evicted, but it's better to NOT get evicted in the first place.
