[Private email to Baelheit's company]
[At least, it's technically to the general company address. It somehow also manages to end up in his private inbox, even though that particular address isn't officially on the list of intended recipients.
Attached is a very nicely written and formatted business letter, which will have to be paraphrased here since I don't actually have any idea how to write Business Partnership Proposal Letters.
Which is what it is, incidentally.
It's written as if from some vague, high-up position in Aperture's management, explaining that they've heard very good things about both Mintaka's R&D capabilities and Baelheit himself. There may or may not be an incredibly subtle reference to his rumored time with TRIDENT hidden in there, somewhere.
The letter goes on to explain that Aperture has been looking for partners with whom to collaborate on their latest projects - giving a few short examples - and that if Mintaka is interested, they would be happy to talk.
It ends with an official Aperture email address, but there's no name or signature attached.]

Aperture Science Management:
I was both honored and intrigued to receive your email regarding a proposed partnership between our two research departments. However, I am afraid I cannot agree to anything without meeting with someone face-to-face. Call it a personal policy. I would be happy to arrange a meeting with one of your representatives, and we can discuss this proposal further.
I look forward to your reply.
Cordial regards,
Dr. Julius Baelheit

Dr. Baelheit:
Of course that can be arranged. Our representative will be available in three days, if that works for you.

Aperture Science Management:
Three days' time is suitable. Shall I arrange for the use of a conference room at our offices, or would you rather meet elsewhere?
Perhaps you'd be so kind as to tell me your name, so that I know to whom I can address my correspondence.

Dr. Baelheit:
Our representative is Dr. Emily Naransky - she can be contacted at [likely sounding email address]. Thank you for your consideration.
