Are we planning on doing anything about the joker posting on The Watch about wanting to collect materials from the UCLA sinkhole? I know we haven't had the tightest security on it so far, and I can't say I'm complaining about not having to babysit a hole in the ground. But now we have some anonymous "man of science" hellbent on collecting as much shit from the hole as possible. 

The phrase "as a man of science" never leads to something that altruistic.

If those samples pose a significant risk to the civilian population, one that falls outside the realm of normal military and police control because of its weird bullshit factor, then we have a responsibility to keep those away from people with malicious intent.

If the crystals and all the other crap at the bottom of that pit end up being just so many sparkly pebbles, then it doesn't really matter. Look, I just wanna check it out, alright?

We bait the buyer-in-question with some merchandise, arrange a face to face meetup using a person unaffiliated with CONDOR in an official capacity or someone who is not easily recognizable as CONDOR personnel, and see what happens. If nothing seems shady during the buy, we go through with the deal. Of course, there'll be a tracker on whatever package we give him. We can trail him back to wherever he keeps this stuff, and check things out.

Just to make sure everything's on the level.

Not the most brilliant or original plan, but better than just sitting on our asses.

Your plan is functional. Do you suggest we offer real samples or artificial?

Real samples might be less risky in the long run -- if we blow the dropoff cause they're obvious fakes, we won't get anywhere.

I don't know how replicable those crystal things are, though. Would depend on whether or not we could spare a few.
